These two paintings were experimental. I had worked on them and disliked what I had done, so I put some zinc white on top, unevenly. Then I put lots of collage papers, acrylic skins, and deli papers onto the surface, ending up with this chaos.
So today I put some contact paper donuts onto the painting and applied a translucent paint, Quinacridone Nickel Azo Gold, on top. Unfortunately, I had not sealed the underlying layers with acrylic medium, so the contact paper pulled up some parts of the underlying mess. Nevertheless, I definitely like them much better!
