This small piece (6"x6") is acrylic on wood panel. It was originally titled "Red Alcohol Study", when I experimented with alcohol drips into fresh acrylic paint. The collage pieces are acrylic skins, which are made by applying acrylic to a smooth surface, letting it dry, and peeling it up. These particular skins were made with gel with drips of paint on it. The gel did not turn clear for a long time.
The background was the red image to the left; I collaged acrylic skins onto it, which were still white because they were drying and curing. Now they are clear, giving the entire image a very different look.
