Ancient Egyptian Concept of the Soul |
This project will require sealing the wooden substrate before I can add paint or collage. I am waiting for my sealant (GAC-100) to be delivered, but meanwhile ... I wanted to see if this image would fit. When my mother-in-law died, I felt her spirit at the gravesite, as a bluejay. Then when Steve died, a bluejay visited me just outside my computer room window. That did not happen before or since, so I felt it was Steve visiting me in soul form. The ancient Egyptians considered the Ba to be the form the soul takes after death: a bird with the head of the deceased.
