Robyn Not Again

In Progress or is it Process?
The first version of this painting was titled Robyn Not, so naturally this one is Robyn Not Again!

A Work Day

My Studio Today
I got to a place where I could work on things again. For whatever reason, working on art is like a steam locomotive. It spins its wheels on the tracks at first, then starts slowly, groaning, and gradually it gets moving faster and chugs along merrily. Toot toot!

Coating Christina

Clear Tar Gel Application
I am hopeful that this will come out looking fantabulous, but I never know for sure. It should dry perfectly clear, but it got caught in the curlicues so it may be hazy around them. That might be gorbilious, or nice.

Christina's Crown Update

Curlicues!
No sooner did I post the photo of Christina's Crown than I had the inspiration to put a pattern into the background. Hehe, that is the way it works sometimes!

Kinda Like It

Too Subtle for Me ...

Christina's Crown Mostly Dry
Apparently I did not add enough liquid Ultramarine Blue to my gel/water mixture. It is nice and glassy and transparent, but barely has a color shift from the background. I liked the light blue a lot, so maybe I will go over this with Iridescent Pearl liquid acrylic.

Christina's Crown

Wet Glossy Glass Blue
Tomorrow this should be shiny glassy and blue. The white will turn clear. What I do next is a mystery to me, but I like it so far.

Revisionism

This painting was blue, yellow and such a deep green that it was basically a silhouette of the trees, and today I am reviewing old paintings to decide yea or nay ... keep them as is, or paint over them. Apparently I decided to work on this one, and I like the results so far.

Lady with an Ermine

Lady with an Ermine after Leonardo da Vinci
This is another oddball painting that does not fit into any of my series. I planned to do more of these modern-hued copies of masterworks, but lost interest. Pfft. I am like that sometimes.

At the Carnival - Finished?

At the Carnival
This may be finished. I always have to gaze at a piece for a long time to know for certain.
